Letter from the Editor

Dear Friends,

Welcome to Issue 6, Volume 1 of the ICCTE Journal.

Welcome back to the ICCTE online community as we share the fruits of yet another journal publication. Some of the five articles in this issue address the work of Christian colleagues in secular institutions. Others assist us in our quest to teach and learn by sharpening our thoughts on specific disciplines of teaching and learning in an educational setting. Topics include: teacher vitality as this relates to a two country study; faculty perspectives of academic freedom; students’ perceptions on motivations to learn; learning from the parables and controversial issues in moral education. We hope you will find something for many areas of overlapping interest.

Since I have noted many books published lately which explore the term ‘worldview’ in positive and negative positions, Volume 6, Issue 2 will offer the possibility of a theme to consider how worldview is grappled with in the teaching and learning experience. I am looking forward to receiving many manuscripts! Reviewer information and manuscript information are posted on our journal website. Of course, other educational topics will also be represented that are of interest to the vibrant academic audience of our readers.

In closing, I urge you to submit your manuscripts for the next issue by March 1st, 2011. New submissions may be sent to me at or

Under God’s grace,

Christina Belcher,
